Hummus

Hummus
will feed 4-6 adults

3 cups garbanzo beans (drained)
2-3 cloves of garlic
3 TBSP Sesame Tahini (you get this at Good Earth or a health food store)
1 TBSP olive oil
3-4 TBSP lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cumin
a few dashes of cayenne (red) pepper
1 tsp sea salt (I use regular salt)
1/2-3/4 cup water (until it makes a good soft paste)
garnish: 1/2 tsp sweet paprika that you sprinkle on top before you serve

Add all ingredients and mix until smooth in the blender.

We spread on warmed pita bread with shredded carrots, shredded cucumbers, sprouts and a drizzle of ranch dressing!
