First of all, thanks for being patient with the switch-a-roo this week. I know it required an adjustment for many of us with schedules, kids, etc, etc.
Secondly, we got some bonus goodies in our order. Like a brand new variety of apple out of New Zealand called Mariri Red Braeburn. These are the large darker red apples. Please leave your feedback about them so I can tell A and Z what everyone thinks. How do you leave feedback? Use the comment feature at the end of this blog entry. Speaking of that, I would like to encourage feedback from any of you who have tried recipes or have tips to share. You can always leave comments after any post.
Another bonus goody is spaghetti squash. Yummy! Some of you got two spaghetti squash and no butternut--sorry about that, but we were just a hare short on the butternuts. I'll know now for when I order them again!
The ornamental gourds didn't come--boo-hoo, but they are plentiful at local stores.
Finally, we got green bell peppers rather than orange. Green peppers are excellent in homemade chili and that is a dish that often freezes well, so make a big pot and freeze some for the cold nights to come.
